After almost 3,000 trials, the Cobridge team re-discovered the secret of decorating abstract, reduction fired stoneware and from that fine discovery went on into totally uncharted territory and eventually found their own holy grail: Fine quality oxide fired stoneware with an identifiable design.

Cobridge Stoneware has taken the collectors market by storm! The British Museum, which houses the largest stoneware collection in the world, marked the launch in 1999 with a special inaugural lecture and reception. Early pieces such as these will be sought after by collectors worldwide who understand the full meaning of ‘discovery’ and ‘quality’.
