Tradition and Craftsmanship

This picture shows a selection of jewellery being hand finished on a traditional jeweller’s bench. From the original master pattern the lost wax process is used to make each design in either silver or gold.

The Process and Development of the Skyran Collection

Sheila creates the original design into final artwork before making. The master pattern is pierced out of silver by hand in the traditional way. Granules of coloured glass enamels being applied skillfully with a quill. Picture shows fused glass enamel after firing in kiln at approx. 800°C. Finally Kathleen models the finished matching necklet and earrings.
