Blood, Gerry - Biography |

Gerry Blood always dreamt of two things – to be accomplished as both an artist and a sportsman – and he managed to achieve both. Born the son of a coal miner in Nottinghamshire his commercial exhibition was at the tender age of 14. As a superbly gifted colourist with fantastic versatility and flair, Gerry has many recognised institutions and sportspeople amongst his collectors. These include the collections of Natwest Bank and adidas, Wimbledon Champions Stefan Edburg and Steffi Graf, and former England cricket captain David Gower. Gerry achieved his highest honour when he was appointed to be the Official Artist of the Seoul Olympics by the International Olympic Committee. “Gerry Blood is a unique, but he is also a unique man.” |
