Morgan, Allan - Biography |

Born in 1952, Allan Morgan graduated from Coventry (Lancaster) Art College with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art. His professional career has since focused mainly on realist landscape painting, although he has also enjoyed considerable success as an illustrator. He has recently extended his style to encompass a more 'colourist' approach in much of his work. The basis of Allan's inspiration is his love of light, colour and atmosphere in landscape. Influences in his paintings are varied and include the Pre-Raphaelites, Fauvists and Impressionists. Having formerly spent many years living near the coast he regularly returns to this subject matter with much of his work. |
